What is FIRESTARTERS?
FIRESTARTERS is a fast-paced arcade movement shooter on Steam, built by Studio Kerosene on a fully custom in-house engine. You play Kera, an ex-delinquent from the back alleys of Okinawa who is now the designated fighter for the Firestarters, the newest team of prisoners in STEEL: a Japanese gladiator bloodsport livestreamed to the entire world and run by a crime syndicate that could not care less whether you live.
What makes it click is the movement. A performance-boosting battlesuit plus custom rocket skates turn every arena into a skatepark you can slide, grind and ground-pound through at speed. There are no health, armor or ammo pickups anywhere in a STEEL arena, so staying alive means tearing androids apart and taking what you need off their bodies, then replaying each Storm in Arcade Mode to shave seconds and climb the in-game global leaderboards while free Episodes 2 to 4 roll out during Early Access.

Eight sections, one word: the Steam game, the three songs that share its name, and the practical side of fire starters, from picking a type and making your own to camping, indoor burning and buying without overpaying.
FIRESTARTERS Guide
Start with the practical side of the name: how firestarters are made, how to light one without smoking out the room, the classic paraffin-and-sawdust recipe, and the wax-free methods that run on nothing but household scraps.
FIRESTARTERS on Steam
The game behind the name: Studio Kerosene's arcade movement FPS, in Early Access since October 28, 2026. What the store page promises, what the first reviews say, why the demo is gone and what four episodes actually buy you.
FIRESTARTERS Music
Three very different tracks share the word: K/DA's League of Legends single, The Prodigy's 1996 electronic landmark and Sawyer Hill's country release, broken down by lyrics, credits and what each one is actually about.
FIRESTARTERS Types
Fatwood, wax cubes, egg-carton starters, fire logs and kindling ranked by how fast they light, how long they burn and what they cost per fire, plus which one suits a wood stove versus a wet campsite.
Fatwood: resin-soaked pine that lights from a single match and burns long enough to catch real kindling. The most reliable natural option and the priciest per piece.
Wax cubes: paraffin pods with a sawdust core. Predictable, weather-resistant and clean-burning, which is why they dominate the grill aisle.
Egg-carton starters: lint or sawdust packed into paper pulp and poured with wax. Cheap in bulk, but they soak up moisture in a damp shed.
Paper logs: rolled newspaper bound with wax or string. Fine for a fireplace on a dry evening, weakest in wind or wet weather.
FIRESTARTERS DIY
Five household builds that cost pennies each: dryer lint, egg cartons, sawdust and wax, shredded paper and the muffin-tin method. Ratios, drying time and the mistakes that turn a starter into a smoke bomb.
FIRESTARTERS Camping
What still works in the rain: ferro rods, waterproof matches, wax pods and the emergency methods that need no gear at all, with packing lists and weight trade-offs for a weekend, a thru-hike and a bug-out bag.
FIRESTARTERS Fireplace
An indoor fireplace, a wood stove, a log burner, a charcoal grill and a BBQ each want a different starter. What burns clean indoors, what leaves creosote, and the habits that stall a fire with the flue wide open.
FIRESTARTERS Buying Guide
Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot and Lowe's compared on what each one actually stocks, what a firestarter costs per fire, and when a bulk box beats a bag of fatwood.
